CRANSTON – Touro Fraternal Association is offering financial support to all Rhode Island synagogues to assist in hiring professional police protection for the High Holy Days. Touro, the area’s largest Jewish men’s fraternal association, has reached out to congregations in the state with an offer to help provide a safe and secure environment during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. more
On June 9, more than 125 women came together for the Sandra Bornstein Holocaust Education Center’s annual fundraising card party. The event, held at the Ledgemont Country Club, in Seekonk, was hosted by longtime SBHEC volunteer Sandra Bornstein. The fundraiser featured lunch, an afternoon of playing canasta and mahjong, and plenty of time to socialize. more
