Esther F. Schnitzer, 97
WARWICK, R.I. – Esther F. Schnitzer died Oct. 9, at home. She was the wife of the late Ernst Schnitzer. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Meyer and Anna (Barkin) Flaxman. She had lived in Warwick for 62 years, previously living in Providence.
Esther was a secretary for the Providence School Department at Sackett Street School and the former Lexington Avenue School. She was a member of Temple Sinai.
She was the mother of Henriette Roy and her husband, Richard, of Warwick. She was the sister of the late Max H. Flaxman and Celia Gallup. She was the aunt of several nieces and nephews. Esther was a faithful companion to her dog, Shayna.
