Goldie Greene, 101

WARWICK, R.I. – Goldie Greene died March 9 at HopeHealth Hospice in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Samuel N. Greene. Born in New York City, a daughter of the late Beryl and Bassia (Rappaport) Miller, she had lived in Warwick for over 30 years, previously living in Cranston. Goldie was a life member of Hadassah and a member of ORT, Cranston Senior Guild, Temple Sinai and a former member of Temple Torat Yisrael.

She was the devoted mother of David Greene and his wife, Martha, of Warren, New Jersey; Ed Greene and his wife, Marlene, of Cranston; and Henry Greene of Windsor, Connecticut and Henry’s late wife, Sussie. She was the cherished friend of Marcia and Bob Hicks.  She was the dear sister of the late Evelyn Marks and Dorothy Kramer. She was the loving grandmother of James, Deborah, Stacey, Lori and Shanti. She was the cherished great-grandmother of Daniel, Joseph, Zack, Mason, Sophia, Jake and Gabriella.
