Honesty is the best policy


Nebraska has a new campaign to attract tourists. It boasts print ads with headlines such as “Lucky for you there’s nothing to do here.” Yet another ad brags that the state is “Famous for our flat, boring landscape,” according to the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC). Noting that Nebraska is “the least likely state” when it comes to attracting tourists, State Tourism Director John Ricks says “the new brand platform is defined by honesty. The overarching concept of honesty is rooted in a mindset that values transparency, purity and simplicity.”
