Marilyn Levine, 88

CRANSTON, R.I. – Marilyn Levine died July 29 at Cedar Crest. She was the beloved wife of Julius Levine for 69 years. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Albert and Fannie (Konovsky) Friedlander, she had lived in Cranston for 55 years.  

She was a broadcaster for a news radio program for Insight for 30 years and was a docent at the RISD Museum. She was a lifelong member of Hadassah. Marilyn was also an artist and wrote and illustrated a book for each of her grandchildren when they were born. 

She was the  mother of Leslie Levine of Warwick, Dianne Gens and her husband, Barry, of Newton, Massachusetts, and Andrea Couch and her husband, Deryl, of Orlando, Florida. She was the sister of the late Wilbert Friedlander and Gloria Dressler. She was the grandmother of Matthew, Robert, Jason, Savannah, Sydney and Brooke. She was the great grandmother of Lily.
