Never too old for a bat mitzvah … or to help heal the world

CHESHIRE, Mass. – Evie Bastow, the aunt of Ruth Perlow, will become a bat mitzvah later this month – at age 80!

As part of her tikkun olam (repairing the world) bat mitzvah commitment, she became involved with “Kids 4 Harmony,” a program that provides used musical instruments for underprivileged children.

She is collecting orchestral instruments from anyone who might want to donate any unused instruments.

To donate an instrument, contact Ken Perlow, (508) 285-5047 or perlow123@gmail.com.
