New Kollel/Shoresh ‘Event’ focused on Purim

Posted

Harry Rothenberg gave a rousing address about Purim to people from across greater Rhode Island’s Jewish community during a new Kollel/Shoresh event held on March 10 at the Blackstone Valley Visitor Center, in Pawtucket.

Rothenberg spoke movingly about the mysteries of Purim and how there is always more going on than is within our own understanding. He also spoke touchingly about his experience with the father of a victim of the mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida; the father was able to find some solace in the words of a stranger during a post-wedding meal in Jerusalem.

Those in attendance agreed the program was uplifting.

The event – simply called The Event – also featured music by Fishel Bresler and a catered meal.
