A gala celebration filled with reflection and inspiration will mark the B’nai Mitzvah milestone anniversary of the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island on Dec. 7. The community is invited to honor the remarkable legacy of the Alliance’s past presidents while embracing the promise of a vibrant future and recognizing the transformative work of the Alliance.
The Alliance, a marriage of the Jewish Federation of Rhode Island, Jewish Community Center and the Bureau of Jewish Education, offers thriving youth and family programs at the Dwares JCC. From engaging after-school activities to meaningful social services, these initiatives are shaping the next generation of leaders and changemakers. A leader in social justice advocacy, the Alliance will use the funds raised from the evening and beyond to support its antisemitism work.
The evening includes dinner and dancing as well as a live performance by the renowned Israeli artist Gad Elbaz, whose music will bring energy, joy and spirit to the evening. Kosher catering is by A Perfect Taste. On display will be a photo exhibit of images from before and after the merger of the agencies.
For younger guests, a fun-filled kids’ bash will take place simultaneously. The first 50 registered children, ages 5 and up, will enjoy a Kosher dinner, games, movies, sports, crafts and even a silent disco – all in an exciting, safe environment designed just for them.
So, join members of the community and celebrate the Alliance’s past, present and future, as it continues to foster a thriving community that upholds the values of kindness, education and unity.
Individual tickets are $180. Tickets for the children’s event are $54 each. The event will take place Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Dwares JCC, 401 Elmgrove Ave., Providence.
