Paula Cohen, 78

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – Paula S. Cohen passed away July 5 at Spring Valley Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Richard Cohen for 57 years. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Rose (Shapiro) Shore, she had lived most recently in Las Vegas, previously living in West Palm Beach, Florida, and Merrimack, New Hampshire. She was a longtime resident of Cranston, where she and her husband Richard H. Cohen raised their five children. 

Paula attended Bryant University. For many years, she worked alongside her husband for Richard H. Cohen Associates, importing seasonal giftware. Paula loved to sing and was a former member of the Temple Emanu-El choir. Her pride and joy was her family, and she cherished the time spent with them. She enjoyed cooking family dinners, needlepoint, making everyone laugh and watching her family grow. 

Paula was the devoted and loving mother of David Cohen (Michelle), of Las Vegas; Miriam Cohen (Rob Robinson), of Wakefield; Robert Cohen (Melissa), of Berlin, Connecticut; Jonathan Cohen, of Marina del Rey, California; and Cara Hiller (Michael) of Katonah, New York.  She was the dear sister of Myrna Aronson (Edward), of Providence, and she was a loving grandmother of Alexandra, Jacob, Jared, Rachel, Joshua, Eli, Jack and Max.
