Seymour Ladd, 91

CRANSTON, R.I. – Seymour Ladd died March 7 at home. He was the beloved husband of Shirley (Goffin) Ladd for 66 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Meyer and Sarah (Sharpstein) Ladd, he had lived in Cranston for 58 years, previously living in Providence. He was the owner/operator of the former Ladd’s Music, retiring over 15 years ago. Seymour was a member of Touro Fraternal Association and was a talented clarinetist.

He was the devoted father of Steven Ladd and his wife, Judy Durant, of Meriden, New Hampshire; Robert Ladd and his wife, Sharon, of Raleigh, North Carolina; and Donna Waxler and her husband, Daniel, of Farmington, Connecticut. He was the dear brother of the late Murray Ladd. He was the loving grandfather of Benjamin, Nathan, Bethany, Jennifer, Andrew, Hannah, Julie and Rachel. He was the cherished great-grandfather of twins Max and Zach, and Adaline.
