Field trips are the best!

The older toddlers who attend the David C. Isenberg Family Early Childhood Center at the Dwares JCC took a field trip recently to Quality Fruitland in Seekonk.
As part of the curriculum, they have been learning about how fruits and vegetables grow as well as the importance of a healthy diet. After an exciting bus ride accompanied by songs like “The Wheels on the Bus,” the group arrived at the store. Dave Foster showed the children many varieties of produce, and he opened several fruits and vegetables so that everyone could see the seeds inside. He also explained how those fruits and vegetables grew. Each child was given an apple to take back to school. The children were very engaged and excited during the trip.
