Just a few weeks ago, the Jewish community of Rhode Island mobilized a campaign, led by the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island, to support relief efforts in Ukraine. As we publish, more than $210,000 has been raised, according to Sara Masri, chief development officer for the Alliance. These funds will be sent to Alliance overseas partners such as the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), working in Eastern Europe to help refugees from Ukraine. more
