Alliance to lead Israel mission

Posted

A community solidarity mission to Israel, led by the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island, has been tentatively scheduled for January.

According to information supplied by Alliance leadership, the plan would be to leave Boston on the evening of Sunday, Jan. 14, and travel back to the U.S. the morning of Thursday, Jan. 18. During that time, participants would have the opportunity to hear from Israelis who have been displaced because of the Israel-Hamas war, visit programs that are funded in part by the Jewish Alliance's Israel Emergency Fund and have an opportunity for a meaningful volunteer experience. Members of the group would also hear directly from Israelis of all backgrounds to understand how the war is impacting life. The trip would include one day in Jerusalem and one day in Afula, a partner community to Rhode Island.

The cost would be $3,000, including airfare.

Registration for this trip is now open. Interested? You can register at events.idonate.com/missiontoisrael. Registrants will be asked to make a $500 REFUNDABLE deposit; the deposit would be returned if the trip is canceled. Please register by Friday, Dec. 15, at noon. Members of the Alliance team will follow up to share additional registration details.
