PROVIDENCE, R.I. – B. David Brown, of Summit Commons, died June 20 at the Commons.

He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Bedrick) Brown. Born in New York, N.Y., a son of the late Samuel and Sadie (Karg) Brown, he had lived in Warwick for 17 years before moving to Providence. He previously lived in Teaneck, N.J., and Arizona. 

He was a graduate of Fairleigh-Dickinson University in Teaneck, N.J. He was a stockbroker for the former Bache & Co., now Prudential Securities, for 26 years, retiring in 1977. 

He was an Army veteran of both WWII, serving in England and Korea, serving in Washington, D.C. He was a captain in the Signal Corps. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans Post 23. 

He was the father of Jeffrey M, Brown, M.D. of West Hartford, Conn., and Richard A. Brown, Ph.D. of Austin, Texas, brother of Lillian Gaeser of Boca Raton, Fla., and the late Daniel Brown and Elsie Nelson. He was the loving grandfather of Elana, Ariel, Jessica and Jason. He was the cherished companion of Bette Pitchon of Warwick.
