Beatrice Sydney, 102

WARWICK, R.I. – Beatrice G. Sydney died July 21 at Tamarisk Assisted Living Facility. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Sydney, devoted mother of Roberta Sol (Richard) of New Fairfield, Connecticut, dear sister of the late Abraham Ponce and Rose Holland, loving Baubie of Adam Sol (Rabbi Yael Splansky) and Rabbi Felicia Sol and cherished Bebe, great-grandmother, of Avishai, Eli, Jesse, Aiden and Sivan.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Jacob and Anna (Golden) Ponce, Bea had lived most of her life in Cranston and was a Rhode Islander through and through. She was a former member of the Cranston Jewish Center and active in its sisterhood.  Bea was also a member of Hadassah.  Most importantly, she was the fiercely loving and stylish matriarch of her family.
