WARWICK, R.I. – Edwin J. Shatz died Aug. 7. He was the husband of Eleanor (Spinks) McCarthy. Born in Providence, a son of the late Morris and Rena (Dubovick) Shatz, he was a lifelong resident of Rhode Island.
He graduated from Classical High School and attended Brown University.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children; Debra and her husband Peter, Timothy, John and his wife Gayle, and James and his wife Kimberly, his brother; Marshall, 11 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Patricia.
