PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Evelyn (Granoff) Hornstein died Feb. 8. She was the wife of Abner Hornstein. Born in Providence, the daughter of Jacob and Fay (Kadish) Granoff, she was a lifelong resident of Providence.
She was a graduate of Hope High School and worked at Brown and Sharp before marrying Abner “Bob” Hornstein. She had many friends in the Elmhurst area of Providence, where she was well-known as an amicable and kind person.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children Steven Hornstein and Fay Hornstein Pizer. She was the sister of the late Marvin Granoff.
