Helen R. Lehrer, 93

CRANSTON, R.I. – Helen R. Lehrer died May 30 at Kent Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Saul Lehrer. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Samuel and Edith (Silberman) Resnick, she had lived in Cranston for more than 20 years, previously living in Providence. She worked for the State of R.I. Governor’s Office and Department of Administration for more than 25 years. She was a member of Temple Emanu-El, a life member of Hadassah and a Silverlife Master of duplicate Bridge.

She was the mother of Stephen Lehrer and his wife, Freda, of Cranston and Joanne Lehrer and her husband, Steven Chianesi, of Cranston. Sister of Albert Resnick of Cranston, Leon Resnick of Ariz., Frank Resnick of Cranston, and the late Anne Steingold. Grandmother of Christopher, Jennifer, Matthew, Stacey, and Andrew and his wife, Jia.
