JCS continues to serve community

Although the COVID-19 pandemic continues to wreak havoc on our day-to-day lives, the staff of Jewish Collaborative Services wants to assure you that they and their volunteers are hard at work and committed to meeting the needs of everyone both inside and outside of the Jewish community. Despite the offices at 1165 N. Main Street in Providence being closed to clients and visitors, they will continue to be there for you!

Case Management is responding to client calls and emails and helping clients navigate community resources. (https://jcsri.org/our-services/basic-needs-assistance/)

Lifeline RI  is continuing to check on clients who have activated their lifelines and answering requests for technical support. (https://jcsri.org/our-services/lifeline-ri/)

The dedicated volunteers in our Partners in Care continue to offer support by making phone calls to isolated seniors. (https://jcsri.org/about/volunteer/) &

JERI staff is staying connected to nursing home residents by making phone calls to residents and delivering food for the Passover holiday. Virtual programming is being offered to residents when possible. (https://jcsri.org/our-services/senior-outreach-visits/)

Isolated and vulnerable seniors continue to receive daily meals through our Kosher Nutrition program; Kosher meals are being delivered to congregate meal site participants given the closure of the mealsite. (https://jcsri.org/our-services/kosher-meals-on-wheels/)

Kesher workers continue to offer support and remain in contact with their congregants through their rabbis. (https://jcsri.org/our-services/congressional-outreach/)

Those awaiting Passover Support through Moes Chitim are still receiving assistance. Gift cards have been placed in the mail and will arrive this week. (https://jcsri.org/our-services/passover-support/)

The Counseling Center is offering clients tele-mental health sessions at this time. The Kosher Food Pantry is delivering to anyone in need who has not yet received bags of groceries through our outreach efforts. Pick-ups (outside the door) or delivery options are available, when needed. (https://jcsri.org/our-services/kosher-food-pantry/)

Visitation at Tamarisk Assisted Living Residence and programming at Shalom Affordable Housing remains suspended per the RIDOH until further notice. Meals at the Shaloms are being packaged and are being delivered outside tenant doors.
