The folks at the Louis and Goldie Chester Full Plate Kosher Food Pantry are asking the community to start the new year with a mitzvah: help provide food to the hungry. This is the second annual High Holiday Kosher Food Drive organized by Jewish Collaborative Services and the Full Plate Kosher Food Pantry.
Due to COVID-19, this year they are asking you to fill your virtual cart with non-perishable kosher food and toiletry items.
The virtual food drive is underway through Oct. 12.You can find the virtual registry at Walmart.com/registryforgood and by searching for Jewish Collaborative Services (https://bit.ly/2E4T4Qb). Once the items are purchased through Walmart.com, they will be delivered to JCS and distributed to Jewish families who are in need.
If you would like to purchase kosher non-perishable food items from a different retailer, please contact Marcie Ingber, pantry coordinator, to arrange a time to drop off your donated items at JCS. Marcie can be reached at 401-331-1244 or by email at marcie@jfsri.org.
