Local team heads to Maccabi Games
Good luck to the 2014 Rhode Island JCC Maccabi team, who is off to Detroit, Michigan, to participate in the 2014 JCC Maccabi Games and Artsfest.
This event offers Jewish youths a supportive environment that fosters mutual respect and sportsmanship, where they can interact in a fun atmosphere, cultivate a deeper understanding, instill an appreciation of Jewish values and enrich their Jewish identity in an informal setting.
During the week-long event they participate in games and arts as well as community service events and social events to meet and create lifelong relationships with Jewish teens around the country and the world.
