Rabbi Sarah Mack of Temple Beth-El was named president of the Board of Rabbis of Greater Rhode Island on June 9. While she may not work on all of these issues through her new position on the Board of Rabbis, some topics that Rabbi Sarah Mack holds important are poverty, hunger, “common sense gun legislation” and women’s rights to choose women’s health care.
Rabbi Andrew Klein of Temple Habonim, previously treasurer of the Board of Rabbis of Greater Rhode Island, is now also serving as secretary, effective July 1. He says, “We are very lucky here in the state of Rhode Island to have an organization of all the rabbis working together because that doesn’t happen everywhere.” Rabbi Klein is happy to be a part of this team.
