RI Free Clinic is accepting uninsured adults

Providence, RI- Rhode Island Free Clinic is accepting new patients. If you are uninsured and unable to qualify for or cannot afford health insurance through the Affordable Care Act and HealthSource RI, Rhode Island Free Clinic can help.

Rhode Island Free Clinic is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free, comprehensive primary and preventative care to the uninsured, working poor and low-income adults. Clinic patients are uninsured Rhode Island adults aged 19 and older who earn below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level. Rhode Island Free Clinic is a licensed medical center where patients receive primary care, specialty care, labs and diagnostics, medications, wellness programs and health education with the help of volunteer medical professionals, community partners and donors. This clinic does not provide urgent care or walk-in services.

The clinic has a lottery to accept new patients on the first Thursday of every month that begins at 4:00 p.m. If you think you might be eligible, go to the clinic at 655 Broad Street in Providence on April 3 or May 1. Bring a current picture ID; a letter or bill with your name and current Rhode Island address; your tax return or your most recent two pay stubs; and unemployment, TDI or SSI documents, if applicable. If you have no income, you must bring a letter signed by the person who is supporting you that states your current living and financial situation as proof of your financial status.
