Provides Funding for Respite Program at Jewish Family Service
PROVIDENCE – A new program to support the caregivers of loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia has been launched at Jewish Family Service of Rhode Island. The respite program is designed to provide caregivers a time away from the person in their care. Caregivers will be able to visit friends, go shopping, rest or just have time for themselves while their loved one is cared for by a certified nursing assistant.
The respite program is available to residents of Providence, Pawtucket, East Providence, North Providence, Johnston, Cranston or Warwick This program is generously funded by the Rhode Island Foundation through the Victor & Gussie Baxt Fund in memory of Victor Baxt.
