As a way to commemorate the atrocities of the October 7, 2023 attacks on Israel, join RI Coalition for Israel (RICI), Temple Sinai, and a special representative from the Consulate General of Israel to New England for a special screening and discussion of "October Shadows: An Exploration of Trauma and Healing After October 7." This film, produced by Shari Redstone and the Redstone Family foundation, delves into the invisible scars left by the post trauma subjected to the families of victims of the Nova massacre. This deeply moving documentary highlights the humanity of those effected by this attack and the every day struggle of living with loss. The film offers an intimate look at the emotional and psychological aftermath of the October 7 Hamas attacks, sharing the stories of Israeli survivors, bereaved families, and the communities supporting them as they navigate profound loss, fear, and uncertainty.
Through deeply personal narratives and quiet moments of daily life, October Shadows illuminates the complex intersection of trauma, identity, and healing in a nation forever changed.
The evening will begin with the film screening at 7:00 p.m., followed by a post-film conversation with a rep from the Counsel General of Israel to New England. Free and open to the public, but donations encouraged when you select your ticket on the registration site. Space is limited.
